POISON SUN

Virtual Sin

Karakter: 2/6

German street metal featuring guitarist Hermann Frank and lead singer Martina Frank - it’s Poison Sun on their debut album filling the void of the Scorpions meets LA 80’s hard rock. Unfortunately, Martina’s mumbling meets raw accented melodies sound scary through “Voodoo” and like Doro Pesch with a head cold through “Hitman”. The drumming of Florian Schonweitz doesn’t elevate these songs beyond rehearsal stages, and their cover of The Pointer Sisters “Excited” proves comic relief although I doubt that was the intention.

Stick to Accept and get another solo album out Hermann - and leave Poison Sun to their own devices.
